Hi everyone,
I know this thread is several years ago, but I wanted to see if anyone has encountered albino Pacific treefrogs (Pseudacris regilla)? I'm working with a small group of captive bred adults and will take photos/videos to share with other frog enthusiasts!
Here is the video as promised! The video description also has some additional information. Any comments or feedback would be appreciated.
I just watched your video, that is such a cool frog. Thanks for sharing.
(New here) That vid is great! I love PTFs and currently have some as "house guests". I am filing and am documenting their behavior on video. Since you have raised captive bred PTF's maybe you can answer a question for me...? I was wondering if they tend to shed the skin of their legs and "hands"/feet more frequently than the rest of their bodies? I have been witnessing what I consider self-grooming behavior in which small bits of skin are pulled off of these areas using the back toes. I also saw some what I'm sure was shed finger skin (complete with suction pads) in the water dish. I'm currently working on editing my video but will make sure to include the behavior where the skin is removed (haven't captured a full sluff yet).
