    Default My red-eyed tree frog

I think my tank needs more plants. Are there any aquarium plants that would be harmful to her? And will she drink from the pond or should I have a separate water bowl? She looks great and seems to be doing well. I have had red-belly toads, wild toads, and red-spotted salamanders in the past but this is my first RETF. Thanks!

I can't think of any aquarium plants that would be a problem. I would be careful about having such a deep water area though. Tree frogs don't swim well and I would be afraid she could drown. Just make sure there are plenty of places where she can get out of the water. Frogs don't "drink" like we do. They absorb water through their skin. The terrarium should be humid.

Yeah definately a lot more plants. Check out the indoor plant sections at Home Depot or Lowes. Look for smooth broad leafed plants such as Pothos. Pothos would also work in your water section. The frogs like to be able to sit and soak in the water section but the water can't be over their heads. Think jacuzzi not swimming pool. Something they can walk around in safely.

the tank looks very cool! I also have a "pond" in my tank, but it's not that big, so i have a big rock that they can sit on and still be in the water, if they want to. but i've never seen them near the water. But i keep the tank humid. I don't have any plant suggestions, except broad leaves, like Cheri said

I will add some rocks in the pond and/or decrease the water level, and will look for some more plants. Thanks so much!

Okay. I lessened the water level, added rocks, moved things around and added more plants. Do you think this will be okay?

    Looks nice.

    Personally I'd add some vines/branches...

Thanks! We got some wild vines today. They are dried. I still have to boil them and silicone the suction cups to them. May be a bit before I get them done.

Caught my baby hunting last night...I love how she turns dark green at night. She is such a smooth hunter.
