    Default New to tree frogs

    I've never really been interested in tree frogs, mostly in fat frogs (Pacmans, Budgetts, Pyxies, etc.). But now I'm interested in trying my hand at keeping tree frogs. I'm thinking about a monkey frog (Phyllomedusa spp.), an Amazon milk frog (Trachycephalus resinifictrix), a Vietnamese mossy frog (Theloderma corticale), a Borneo eared treefrog (Polypedates otilophis), or a white-lipped treefrog (Litoria infrafrenata). Which of these frogs would be a best first-time treefrog? Can you give me any other suggestions?

    If I could choose another tree frog right now, I'd get the Amazon Milk Frog, but that has nothing to do with how easy or hard they are, I just think they are beautiful frogs!

    My first frog was a White Lipped and he is by far the easiest to care for out of my tree frogs I've had as well as the one with the most personality. Just my opinion.

    I would go with a couple Phyllomedusa myself. I have some P. tomopterna of my own and they're simple to take care of and keep happy an just great frogs to watch climb around, beautiful coloration, and they're pretty clumsy, so it's fun to watch them. But whatever you decide, make sure it's your decision, that'll make you and your frogs the happiest.

    Also I know they weren't on your list, but White's are always a favorite of mine. They have great personalities and are easy to take care of as well. They eat a TON though. XD;

    Can you give me some good care pointers for P. tomopterna? Is that the best Phyllomedusa tree frog for a first-timer?

    What if I cannot find any pinhead crickets? My frog is only 8 weeks old. I see they can be ordered online, but how long do they stay small enough? Is there something else the frogs can eat?
