he seems to be getting more and more skittish of me. for a while he would stand and watch me and move around... now he jumps in and anchors to the bottom by holding onto a rock and does not come up... I think this morning it was about 5 min on the bottom and then I walked upstairs. Speedie I have not seen in days... she hides in the rock structures. Is this bullfrogs? or is the time of year doing something to them. My house temp has not changed. about 75 degrees.

That's about 50% of the reason that experienced keepers aren't interested in keeping American Bullfrogs. The other 50% is that they need huge enclosures.

I would agree… Large enclosure... Huge appetites... and skittish... I think he did better when I picked him up every day… maybe I will hold him a bit each day and see if he like it or he puts a contract out on my life…

Haha. They sound like larger versions of my old Columbian spotted frogs.
