I'm having trouble keeping it humid enough for my pacman frog, should i switch from a screen top to glass? Or do they need a screen top?
I cover my screen top with aluminum foil with a hole for the light and a small gap on the side for some ventilation. Other people use plastic wrap. It's not as pretty as a glass top, but it works.
I did what Baelari suggested, and put aluminum foil on my screen with two sections on each end uncovered for ventilation and it works fine
But do you think a glass top would be ok or do they need a lot of ventilation.
I used a glass top for hermit crabs who require the same humidity as pacmans and I found that if the substrate was too moist that it would start to get a big foggy. with the foil or plastic wrap you can control it better. and more ventilation will help ward bacteria and mold
