    Default ADF infected skin lesion?

I have two dwarf frogs (seperated into two at the moment) and one has a sore lesion on her nose (looks like from a nosedive into the gravel). She wont really eat, she tries but spits it back out. Luckily she was eating really well before this happened so she isnt really skinny yet. She is in a heated filtered five gallon and gets frozen bloodworms, frozen miosis, frozen krill and on the odd occasion frog and tadpole bites.

Is there anything I can put in her water to help her heal? It hasnt been getting any better since two weeks ago (started treating monday last week with melafix). I put some salt in her water and did a full treatment of melafix, did the water change and started another round of melafix. I was wondering if this stuff in the link below is any good for frogs?

here is some pictures of her since the middle of last week in order by day (I hope lol)

Oh yes, and the reason I ask if that stuff is ok for the frog is I have not been able to find anything else. The LFS told me that the only way to get a real antibiotic is through a vet since Canada does not allow the stores to stock it (thats what he said) and this line of meds is all I could find through PetSmart. I called the vets in my city and none of them has an antibacterial medicine for a water frog. SO any help would be appreciated.

Most likely it is a bacterial disease caused by Aeromonas hydrophila, Proteus hydrophilus, or Pseudomonas hydrophilus. It is a very serious disease that is also known as "red leg", it is known to mostly affect newly acquired frogs.Probably the best treatment is a combination of adding salt and oxytetracycline or tetracycline to the water for a week (change the water daily). It would be best to tell the fish shop "expert" or veterinarian that this is a gram-negative bacterial infection. They may be able to suggest a remedy. Good luck!

There is a product called Lymnozyme that is a pro-biotic additive to the water. It will help prevent bacterial infections and is available at most pet stores and http://www.xenopus.com.
