Default Fl grasshopper/ locust safe to feed?

These are all over my bushes! They are like 4 inches long. Does anyone have experience using these as feeders? Are they safe for African Bullfrogs or monitors?

Hoppers cary parisites, and I'd imagine there's allot of pestisides in Florida.

Thanks. So, is this type of grasshopper not toxic, by itself?

Well, you would never want to feed your Pacman Frog anything that is caught outside. Parasites and pesiticides can easily kill a Pyxie Frog.

As far as if they are dangerous for frog consumtion...I don't know. I did watch a video of someone feeding one of those hoppers to their Pacman Frog. The dude got fussed at alot, but the guys says his Pacman Frog is fine. That doesn't mean they aren't dangerous, it just means that it didn't directly kill his Pacman Frog.

That doesn't mean it is safe, though, so I don't even know if this post has helped at all.

[still, never feed any pet wild-caught insects! Too many sad stories! Parasites, from what I have heard, are no fun to deal with (deadly or not)]

I used locusts as feeders until I ran out they're fine for food. I wouldn't recommend using wild caught ones as they may carry parsites but if you bought them they should be fine.
If you want to know anything about locusts ask Ebony she breeds them.

Oh, so when people talk about feeder locusts, these are what they are talking about? That is neat. I always pictured those Cycadeas (I have no idea how to spell that).
