Yesterday I found about 40 tadpoles in a small puddle that was drying up quickly so I got a bucket and carefully took all of them inside. Some of the had had arms and legs and were losing their tail so I put them in shallown water where they can be on the edge. I put the rest in a 15 gallon tank with spring water. Then they all started dieing off I think I lost 15 in less with 5 hours so I moved them to a water bowl again with just spring water and this mourning I found 3 more dead. What can I do to stop this disease or is it a disease?
It could be a drastic change in water chemistry, like two totally different pH's, that is killing them off.
If it's the ones with arms that are dying then they are drowning - the water should be so shallow that they can't submerge.

Its not the ones with arms and legs. I have good expeirence with keeping diffrent types of tadpoles I make sure when they sprout arms to move them to shallow water they are drowning. There are tadpoles without arms or legs that I find on their backs their skin from black to a grayish blueish color.
It might be I dont know Spring water is okay for them right? My dad thinks that the chemicals in it are harmful and thinks filtered tap is okay I thought it was the other way around it might be the water shock too i dont know?
The spring water is fine, I just think it was too different chemically from the water they came out of. Spiring water should've been slowly introduced to aquarium of a period of a at least a day.
