    Default Opal ate moss

Opal ate some moss this morn. I saw her struggling and when I saw it was moss I went to wash my hands. Stupid, actually, I should've skipped that, as it waisted time. When I got back and had to chase her down, down went the moss.

It was allot, I'll start warm water baths tonight.

Should I feed her to help push it through?
Should I feed her wax worms, which gives her the runs?

    Thanks every1

Gingerlee, sometimes they just pass it normally. If you can get her to pass it quickly before it knots up it may just come right out.

ya, i hope. Thanks. I'm just being proactive beacsuse it was allot (6 strands?) and he's still real small, maybe 2 inches. My others will hold still if I need to get moss out. He (opal)was jumpy, and I think the jumpy, helped it go down. He's on his pooping mushroom. So I hope for poo today and the next few days.

I removed all the sphagnum from my Whites viv since they are to crazy and I wasn't going to have to pull a 6 inch piece out the hard way again.

Twisted in a knot so I had to remove by twisting the piece left and right until it let go. Poor little guy, it was more than double his length. It also took me a full day of multiple attempts to get it out. Not fun.

Don, I have the same thing happen to my dogs, dingle berries from my 3 ft long hair!!!!!

Im glad I don't have that NZ sphagaham, that stuff is huge. This is bad enough though. Been waiting for spring so I can plant some Spanish moss in there.

Well, Opal passed the moss. I heard a funny croak, and he got out of the water and there was a big mossy poop. It was all moss, and poo shaped.
I fed him 4 waxies, and doubled up the honey, to two drops per ounce. I figured too much sugar gives everyone runs, so I think that and the fatty worms helped. Warm water being the main thing though. This was a bigger than average poo. I'm so glad it's out. This is my favorite whites.

Good deal and glad to hear. We'll have to keep that in mind for the next oh no episode here.
