Default Out of hibernation at last.

Hi there, I'm very excited as Bella has come out of hibernation. She been eating as you can see very well. Fredo (her partner) spent his hibernation in the water and she was on the land. He has been croaking so it won't be long. My Wee Whistling Tree frogs have come out of hibernation as well so I'll get some photo's of them soon too. My female looks very fat as well.

Hi frog boy . Great to have another NZ member.

Your Green and Golden Bell is beautiful.

For my Whistling tree frogs I tend to go by shape and size in comparison to the other frogs that are the same age.The males are smaller and are not as rounded in the body shape. Ive had Whistlers croak when they are about 4 months old. Believe me if you have a male your entire house hold will no about it.

    Thx for the info ebony

For me in the late summy my house can be a very nosie place to be as i have whistlers breeding naturaly just out side the living room window in two pot plants full of water they came last year so i emptyed all the dirt filled with water and put in some lilly pads. 7 males 3 females and alot of tadpoles. the pot plants are very large.

Im not very good at telling the sex of whistling tree frogs I want to find out if my 6 mouth old whistler are male or female

I getting a new camara soon so il try to get some photos or my 6 monthers put up. one of my whistlers is about 3 1/2 cm long and the other is almost 3 cm long.

I thought it was way too early! Ha ha, I'll take note of dates instead of new posts!
