I raised my American bullfrog from a tadpole and it has been a frog now for about three weeks. It is around an inch and a half long. I am curious if anyone knows what I ought to feed it. It doesn't seem to be eating. I tried to feed him meal worms and even force fed him one yesterday, but he won't eat them on his own. Any advice?
My bullfrog that I raised from a tadpole loved crickets. Whatever size would fit in her mouth, so loved. It took a bit once she became a froglet to actually eat (they can be on the stubborn side if you haven't noticed! ), but once she did, there was no stopping her. Good luck and keep us posted!
what did you feed the tadpole
?
My bullfrog also loves crickets and they aren't hard to culture if you don't live next to a pet store like me.
Bugs and tiny earth worms have patience .
my tadpoles ate plant matter
