    Default Fertilizer

What fertilizer do you all use for your plants? Or do you just use none? I thaught of a few, but not sure if they've been used before. One is fish emushion, another wood ash, and another just the frog poo. But I'm affraid of the poo because wouldn't that build up toxins in the viv? Any and all input welcome!!

Bone meal-- that's the other one I was thinking of, it's just ground up pig and beef bone.

I don't use anything currently in the dart viv. I think if its cycled with springtails you wouldn't have an issue with the poop. I don't see why you couldn't use wood ash.

I find in my whites tank I have to take the Broms out occasionally since the whites really make a mess down inside it. I figure the broms there get enough fertilizer and a good rinsing just refreshes them.

My Red Eyes tank I do nothing and the plants there are out of control so I never thought about any fertilizer there,

I'm getting some yellowing of leaves in my 40 vert on one plant. That is a sign of low nutrients for the plant. Can I use a fish emulsion as a safe fertilizer to boost the nutrients needed by the plants?

Ron from alphaprobreeders offers alot of plant foods and other things for nutrients. Send him a email and see what he thinks. He's always been good with answering questions about his products for me.

Garrett thats for pointing me in the right direction. There was on thing I just thought of that my actually be the issue. The plant with the leaves that are actually turning yellow is in the location where I dump my dusted flies. Sometimes there is dusting powder that falls on the leaves. I wonder if that is burning the leaves and causing the yellowing. Thoughts?

Bth I'm not sure, in my vivs I have to replace the leaf litter where dust falls. Sometimes it gets fuzzy/moldy looking. I'm switching to all rephashy products this week. I'll see if that is reduced at all. When I get it on the leaves I tsp them to try and knock it off. Or spray it off when misting.
