Looks like a spadefoot. Where did you get it?
So Im new here and a bit new to frog care. I recently acquired two frogs. I know they are a mating pair but I'm not to sure of the species. They're skin is speckled with brownish spots but they are greenish yellow underneath the specks. They have very large pronounced eyes, webbed back feet and not webbed front feet. They seem to be more terrestrial than aquatic and like to bury themselves in the earth. The female is much larger than the male.I have included a picture of them both and really hope you guys could help me out. Thanks so much!

I traded them for some things, with a woman I met on Craigslist. She had many herps and they seem well taken care of. She just forgot what species they were. I looked up the Spadefoot and that definitely looks like them. Which means they are pretty hardy right?
Sorry I can't tell you if they are or not, never kept them.
They look like S. couchi. But seeing you are in Florida they might be the eastern, I think that one is S. holbrooki. I don't know if these are Scaphiopus or Spea anymore. You won't see them very often. Set them up with a deep substrate. They are cool. JVK
I believe them to be Scaphiopus hammondii, not S. holbrookii.
