Speedie likes to hide under the water slide… there is a gap between the slide and the earth if she crawls through the water fall she can get under there. So every couple of days I shut everything down and get her out… I think she can get out on her own… but then I never see her. So the question is should I make it so she cant get in there… or just let her hide there because she likes it… I would prefer to make her a cave in the soil so I could at least see if she is in there without taking the water feature out… The big guy who I have not named yet… but I call him big guy so maybe that is his name… is too big to get under there… and seems very happy to just sit under the hostis plant on a bed of peat moss at the edge of the pool. Oh well fish and crawdads disappear on a regular basis… the plants are growing and the frogs are cute the way the peep up out of the water under a plant to look at you… so life is good… and I really enjoy my Bullfrogs.
I don't think it will do any harm if you make it so she can't get in there. They will use what hiding places they can find. If you're lucky they will get used to you but American Bullfrogs are not known for being tame.

The male seems more settled... and keeps a good eye on me... the girl does what she can to hide... but they are fun to watch in the water...
