They say bad news comes in threes....here's hoping karma leaves me alone now.
We have just gotten to the point where Phoenix's bloat is going down....
Then Harvey...awful ammonia Burns from shipping but seems to doing well...
I just got home from work began the routine evening tank check...made it to the froglet tank and thought I was going to die...all but two of the froglets were dead - my heater had malfunctioned sometime between last night and this afternoon - I leave for work at 5am and the tank lights aren't set to turn on until 9am.
I am devastated - I can't handle any more frog tragedies
I know have on marbled baby and one reticulated albino left
Oh no...D:
I'm so sorry that this has happened to you, it seems like one big $**t tornado. ><
All I can do is offer my condolences, I know you don't know me, but I couldn't read this and not say anything.
I hope you're luck turns around soon, it probably can't get any worse. D:

I'm so sorry Jenna.
Very sorry to hear about your frogs. You are so successful with these frogs, don't let these set backs discourage you.
Jenna, I'm very sorry. Take care.
update on the two remaining froglets
they are doing well, however I am still a nervous mama about their tank - each time I do their water change I put them into a separate container....here they are trying to escape lol! They have learned that feeding time and tank cleaning time go hand and hand. I actually feed them after the change to make it less stressful for them.
back in their tank, only managed a quick photo before the camera batteries died
I had a similar incident years ago where I lost my well established breeding colony of Dwarf frogs due to a dinner guest's daughter playing with the heater. They all died slowly over a 1 week period after I discovered the problem. To this day, I have not been able to reestablish a colony like that.
These trials often help us to become better keepers. To this day I do not own a hang on the back heater. lol
I also had a bout with bloat once years ago. I have not feed bloodworms of any kind since and have never had another bloat problem.
