Hey i am considering on putting live plants in my viv for my tree frog, has anyone got any ideas on how to do this and what plants to use?
There are several great places on the web that sell plants for use in frog terrariums. Below are some good links:
Black Jungle Terrarium Supply
Josh's Frogs
Both are pretty good sources. Black Jungle has a bit more of a selection. As far as plants to use, that depends on what species of tree frog this is for.
i have american green tree frogs and a gray tree frog
really u can use bout anything at Walmart. Just google name of plant to make sure itsnit poisonus. And nothing sharp. Rubber tree, fig, corn plant, bromiliad, just make sure to clean plants roots to eliminate fertilzer and re pot in coco husk or organic soil. No comercial fertilizer
You can use a potting soil of some kind, most people use peat or cocopeat,
There are many plants you can use in your viv,
some fast growing climbers with large leafs are Philodendron or Monstera.
But you may also use something with flowers in it like Anthurium or Begonia.
Good European sites with some ideas are:

Try to use organic soil because of the fertilizers in the soil. I would hate to see your cool froggies ingest one of those :P
I put mine in pots becuz each kind had differnt moisture requirements. Without having to fill my entire viv with soil. I also built bottom up to match level to hide pots. Some leave them visible, glass votives work nice and are cheap.
Hi
I just planted my plants straight into the soil I used 2 birds nest ferns which are native to New Zealand, just make sure the plants are smooth leafed and non poisoinous and they should be fine.
