I currently have leaf litter on top of a coconut fiber substrate in my Milk frog terrarium, Crickets seem to love hiding under this layer and I'm worried when they die their bodies may mount up out of my sight
There is a very healthy population of sprintgails and woodlice in the substrate but I'm worried they may not cope.
I'm thinking that moss covering may solve this problem?
Should I stick with the leaf litter or attempt a live moss carpet?
Thanks again for your time.
I have areas of both in my Whites enclosure and just routinely take out the leaf liter to check for dead crickets and poop. I find that no matter what I use, the crickets find a place to hide including under the sheet moss.
The leaf liter at least allows my whites to hunt them by moving the leaf and chasing out the crickets.
Thanks for the advice Don.
