    Default Cricket Food

Ok so I have a question that I havent had answered yet. I read somewhere that if you dont have gutload for your crickets you can use that freeze dried fish food as an alternative with some some small pieces of carrots also. Has anybody ever heard this? Whats your opiniion on it?

I think that this should not be a problem. I didnīt try fish food, but I feed my crickets with carrot commonly.

I do dog food/powdered milk/calcium/vitamins in a blendor. Every couple days or so throw in a random fruit or some veggies/salad. Seems easy enough to me.

    This is my food recipe:
    • Dry cat food.
    • Powdered milk mix.
    • Vitamin supplement. Repashy, Herptivite, etc.
    - Fill a blender 1/2 full with dry cat food and blend.
    - Add powdered milk mix, 10 parts by volume.
    - Add vitamin supplement, 1 part by volume.
    - Blend together until it is the consistency of fine sand.
    - Keep in an airtight container.

Paul, I heard the red dye in some cat food and I'm sure dog food isn't good for reptiles/amphibians....any idea? I was using cat food, but after I heard that I just stole a few scoops of the good stuff our husky eats.

I have never heard this, certainly something I will investigate further. I use the cheapest stuff i can find and it has no color.
