    Default Purchasing azureus

I am considering buying 3 azureus for $75 from a lady off of craigslist. She says they are 2 years old. Also she said: "They are healthy but they are skinny... I had a had time keeping the ff available this summer so they have been eating the smaller ff. I am probably going to start feeding pinhead crickets to get them a little weight on them." I attached the only picture she has provided so far.

Is this a good purchase? This is my first time buying pdfs, what should I look for when I go to pick them up?

Agreed. That is a price I would be skeptical about regardless...

I actually got some Azureus for $25/frog this fall but they were young froglets. That is a pretty low price but it also could be just a good deal because she wants to downsize her collection. If you want them just buy them and fatten them up with termites and get them tested for parasites. A good herp vet can run fecal exams and provide treatment to fix them up. They don't look superskinny from what I can see in the pictures.

Yes, the best you can do is go see them in real life.
If they are way to skinny, chances are you are throwing you're money away.
In the past i also bought frogs, more then once, i tought i could get in good shape.
At some point the moving will not do them good at all,
saving them will be impossible at that point.

The tinctorius are not always the most bold species.
Chances are that parasites/worms will get to them even more due to a moving.

If in doubt, don't buy them.
You say those will be you;re first poison darts,
in my opinion better buy 100% healthy ones then.
Would be a shame if you're first dart experience will end up badly.
It can ruin the overall joy you will have in keeping them.
Buying physical weak frogs is, even for experienced keepers, a gamble ending up badly more often then good.

Thanks for the advice. I decided to pass on the offer. Going to look for something less risky. Thank you.
