    Default Latest Baby Pyxie Update

Here's an update on "The Beast". He has certainly been eating like a beast. He was smaller than a quarter when I got him, and now he's 3 inches svl. I tried to get some pics from the side, but he wouldn't cooperate lol.

Funny you should ask, feeder roaches are illegal in Florida. It sucks because they are a great staple.

I realized that a while ago when I was looking into starting a colony. No company will ship to Florida. Luckily I found someone who had a colony that they started from some one else who started it from someone else...and so on. I have a Lobster Roach colony that I feel I keep very secure to prevent escapes, and I tong feed all my animals. That way I know that none escape. Its all about being responsible. If you are ever in north central Florida, let me know.

Hey John. I live in Boca and Underground Reptiles sells lobster roaches. They are perfect for baby pixies. They also sell whats called a false deathead roach, and they are legal. They are expensive but, will tide you over till you do a colony. Watch out tho, they are quick and crawl up the sides of any container.
