For those that may not know already, I have spent most of the last year creating a breeding project for the critically endangered Agalychnis.moreletii. Recently it was looking very promising as the males were calling regularly and the only female seemed responsive and was full of eggs 2 days ago. To make a long story short, she would not allow him to court her and could not release her eggs and died as a result. She was the only female in the group. A devastating end to a very fun project. I learned a lot about leaf frogs from this regardless the outcome. Back to the drawing board.
I'll miss this girl.
Sorry to hear that Paul
Im so sorry Paul
Thank you...It's not over though, I don't give up easily.
Sorry to hear, and I wish you luck.
Sorry about the loss. How many did you started out with?
Aww, that really sucks. So sorry to hear about that. How are you going to get another female?
Thanks guys,
I think i can find a few more. My first few were WC and may have created a problem as they never did seem real heal healthy. I will go only with CB from now on, my last few males are CB and doing really well.
That's a shame. Michael Burger is selling F1 offspring right now for a very reasonable price, I have a group of 30 coming this week.
Sorry to hear about your female, that's horrible. Better luck on your next try.
