Wanting to do more with what i've got

I've read about having an ecosystem for the dart and tree frogs with the live plants and the woodlice and springtails. My first question is, what would be some decent beginner plants, my thumb is in no way green. I've recently purchased a 40 gallon breeder and I'd like to spruce up the place with a bit of eye candy. If i could find something that is also proactive towards the health of my frog it would be awesome. My second question is if these 2 little wonder bugs are ideal for a pacmans terrarium? I never knew the woodlice were rollypolly's, they're everywhere. Wich brings me to my third question, are the ones I can find safe to use?
