    Default Good substrates for planting up a natural terrarium?

    Any one have a recommendation on good substrates for a naturally planted WTF terrarium?

    I use cocopeat mixed with ferntree granulate a lot.
    Some vivs i also put in clay, called black peat but then in German
    It is used for bonsai a lot and has a great PH for moss growth.
    I also use it to "stick" plants to my wall until they root
    Gives off the moisture regularly and shows when it get dried out and need to be watered,
    wet=almost black, dry=grayish.

    Clay contains lots of nutrition for the plant growth but got a habit to become very dense,
    so mixing it is advisable for the roots to stay able to breath.

    There are also lots of people using blocks of peat that are watered in first and then put in the bottom.
    Make sure it is expanded as far as it can before filling up the viv.
    You're not the first one that will have his/here viv broken because of the expanding peat
