    Default My fire bellies

just wanted to share some pics of my newly aquired pets.

One thing that really caught my attention is thaat not 3 or 4 hours of getting the toads in their new home a couple had already locked up and they had stayed in the mating embrace for a couple hours before i went to bed...the third attached picture displays the male in the amplexus pose.

My fire bellies do this all the time but you don't have to worry about eggs. These frogs need a definate cool period before the female will produce eggs. Check out the care article on the left for details if you're interested in breeding them. I've also thought about breeding them but I might get kicked out of the house if my spouce ever found I was keeping frogs in the fridge. That might just be the tipping point.
