I got a free bean beetle culture at a show last weekend and they just recently started hatching. They are the size of one week old crickets and wanted to make sure they would be safe to feed to my Red Eyes and my Fire Bellies.
Yes.Im not sure if its okay for a diet. But they are safe:Frogs eat these in the wild, and they aren't poisonous..I'd assume so.
I found something about culturing these, just in case your were interested in knowing more:
Frogs 'n' Things - Bean Beetle Culture
They are a good food to add to the diet of frogs, but they are not a great staple food. I used to culture them for dart frogs and small salamanders, but bean beetles are incredible escape artists and I got sick of finding them around the house.

I don't have that problem. Mine never escape.
