Talking New member, looking for frogs

    Hello,

We are a small breeder located in Florida. We specialize in quality rare reptiles and amphibians. I am the current head exotic vet tech for a large mixed animal practice, and the wildlife coordinator for wildlife rescue ministries. We have or a decade in proffesional experience, especially medical and nutritional. We are always looking for quality breeders to buy from. Especially looking cb bufo sp., Phyllomedusa sp., and various morphs. Please feel free to hit us up with your available livestock, or with any questions.

Wow, it's great to have you here. I live in St. Augustine. Do you work at all with dart frogs?

Thank you, thank you... I rarely work with dart frogs, in the future I plan to though. If your looking for some i have gotten awesome dart frogs for my friends, from underthecanopyfarms.com. They're located in the carolinas but they come to almost all of the florida shows. They have a great selection and really good prices.

What amphibian species do you work with? Or do you primarily function as a middleman(not that there is anything wrong with that). Incidentally since you are in Florida I am always looking for exceptional high red examples of the red phase of bufo terrestris.

For amphibians i am primarily a middle man to be honest. I am working with vietnamese mossy tree frogs, and i am producing blue dumpies.. I primarily breed venomous snakes and tarantulas. If your looking for Bufo terrestris I have buddies who field collect. I will be more then willing to have my buddies look for some for you. just let me know.

Sure, I am in contact with several field collectors and for my purposes it never hurts to to be in contact with a few more directly or indirectly. Just so we are clear though I am looking for unusual specimens. Exceptionally high and bright examples of the red phase, hypomelanistic, axanthic, or basically any specimen with a significant color or pattern aberration. I know southern toads are collected by the thousands for snake food and I have occasionally seen interesting specimens turn up.

lol, ya figured as much.. I will write down your ID and if i come across any morphs i will let ya know. As of right now i haven't seen any, but i never really have looked for morphs/ diversity in that species. But i will def. tell my field collector buddies to look out for some.

If you click on my profile you will see at least one morph of the species. Also at various times over the last ten years or so I have seen albino's, leucistics, melanistic, hypo's, piebalds, and axanthic specimens of this species. Unfortunately most of them tended to either already be in someone else's collection and not for sale at all or high in price at a time when I tended to be underfunded. Money conditions are a bit better for me most of the time these days.
