Unhappy New chorus frog, but worried :-I

ive recently gone out herping near a bullfrog pond, i noticed in the leaf litter that there was a chorus frog, i saw he was a male and had some green and red stripes on his back, i was going to release him but him being by a bullfrog pond made me think that he would be eaten, so i brought him home with shotzy my female, but i had planned to release him in the woods nearby but i thought he could possibly have chytrid so i kept him, he's been eating fine and everything but i saw his green and red stripes turned to a very dark brown, is he stressed? i saw in the chorus frog article on the forum that they change color due to temp and humidity. im feeling very worried about this little guy, any suggestions??

My chorus frogs change color all the time. It's just a normal reaction by them. As long as he is eating I am sure he is fine.

Agree, our Pacific chorus frogs often change color. As long as he is eating he should be fine.
