I have had a female mossy housed with two adult males for 2 years. During amplexus female lays 10-20 eggs that are initially clear and then turn cloudy. This has occurred in every egg of each of the 20 plus clutches produced. I’ve experimented with various PH levels (12-7). Ave ambient and water temps are 75 F. Humidity is 70-80%. Frogs are fed supplemented dubia.
Before I resign myself to owning an infertile female I thought I’d reach out for advice.
Thanks in advance for your input.
Jim
It’s nice that your mossys are trying I’ve had mine for two years and nothing yet except a few calls when the barometric pressure drops. Your temperatures could possibly a problem. I keep mine near 69 to 70 since their wild environment is on the cool side. Plus cold raising provides a better male to female ratio during development. Try it and let me know how it goes.
Thanks Dan. I’ll let you know if lower temps work.
