Question Is perlite toxic to frogs if it’s mixed in with the substrate?

I have perlite to help with drainage, will it cause any harm to my frogs?

Technically perlite is considered nontoxic but I’ve always removed it. Odds are you are at a greater risk of impaction with perlite than from it’s chemical composition. OSHA does regulate occupational exposure, but as far as I know that is only in particulate form.
