Unhappy Badly wounded frog - What can I do to help him? (Picture attached)

I found this frog on my living room floor - I beileive he was attacked by the family cat.

I know very little about frogs, but I really love them. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to help him? He is alive, but the wound seems extremely severe.

Would greatly appreciate any advice on what I can do for him, even if all I can do is end his suffering.

That leg looks like it's almost chewed off! Amputation might be the only answer, but a vet should do it.

That depends. I amputated my frogs leg at home almost a year ago! Will you post a pic of his underside? If you have a reptile vet nearby you should take frog there. If not you should amputate if you can - it’ll just get infected and fall off if you don’t. Try styptic powder to stop the bleeding and remember to use rubbing alcohol on whatever you use to amputate. I recommend putting him in the freezer for a few minutes to calm him down. Poor lil guy! Keep us updated

How did he even get in the house? I'd check for any openings in walls and such to make sure this doesn't happen again! I also agree that you should take the little guy to a vet if possible. There could be internal injuries that may kill him if left untreated. Good luck!
