Hi all,
So I noticed 2 unknown intruders in the false bottom of my bio-active terrarium I've setup and have left for a couple of months to establish before introducing my 3 Costa Rican red eyed tree frogs.
In the video link ( https://youtu.be/fsQLiTXycFE ) you can see the main intruder I'd spotted and while I was filming with a usb microscope I also managed to capture this little critter hunting another tiny intruder that I hadn't noticed before.
To gauge a sense of scale, in the video you'll also see lots of beneficial spring-tails - but if I had to guess I'd say the main intruder was 4 to 5mm long and 1mm wide.
Any advice on what these are, and whether it's something I need to worry about, would be much appreciated,
Thanks

That’s is an excellent video. It appears you have predatory nematodes. The problem with nematodes is that they revage your microfauna. You may want to start your terrarium over as they’re almost impossible to eradicate.
