Hey all, new to the forum! So recently I got a baby pacman frog, first amphibian I've ever owned. So I got home with the little guy and in all the excitement I forgot to check and see if he had any issues, well low and behold, when I looked at him, his left eye was swollen and cloudy. Not only this but he's been fussy about eating too, not sure if this is because he's still adjusting or due to the eye. So basically I'm curious what to do and if the eye will ever be the same again and work like an eye should, or if there will be permanent damage? I tried giving him a honey bath today which he sat in for about 10 minutes, but was rolling around the whole time, not sure if this is normal or not. Basically I'm just curious, is there anything I can do and maybe if anybody has answers for the rest of the questions that would be great, thanks all!
If this was my frog I would take him to a vet straight away. It looks like an injury, perhaps a cricket bite. I really don't know. Seek medical advice and I hope he is okay.
Ah baby! If it were me also I would take him to the vet right away and as what @hagarthefish said it might be a injury or infection but I wouldn't know sorry bud! Also try to soak him starting by mixing lukewarm water and a few drops of honey and start by pouring it over him as its natural and has antibacterial properties. But yeah hope he/shes all good!!
