Hi!
I recently bought the Exo Terra Medium Rainforest Kit with the included canopy and am trying to decide what lights and heating elements I need.
The tank is 18" 18" 24" with a single male Whites Tree Frog living in it. My house is at 77 degrees right now, however the thermometer in his tank reads 72. Meaning I need some heat at least for winter.
So I need some lights for the canopy (they must fit) and I was thinking of getting the Exo Terra Repti-Glo 2.0 Compact Fluorescent Full Specrum Terrarium Lamp (Natural Light) 26 watt. How much will this bring up the tank. I know it's not a heat lamp but was curious if it would do much.
The heat lamp I was thinking of using was the Exo Terra Daylight Basking Spot 26 watt. However it seems to have bad reviews and I would like to know if you have had issues with this light or if you have a heat lamp (that would fit) instead.
I would let the temp drop at night, but I need some help getting the heat up a bit in the day.
I don't want to use a heat mat if I can help it.
Thanks.
