Yesterday I brought home a White's tree frog, and I'm debating whether I should get another White's or a different species. I'm looking at getting a chubby frog (Kaloula pulchra). Would these two species get along well and should I change the terrarium setup to suit a chubby frog. I've had a White's in the past but he died of redleg, and I don't want to make any more mistakes this time.
Since chubby frogs are fossorial I’d devote a different terrarium to one if that’s the species you choose.
Yeah thanks, my terrarium is actually quite suitable for both species but I'll stick to one for now. Smart name by the way (dendrobates)
Just need some tips, is it better to have an open terrarium with several hiding spots or a very dense environment like i have right now. What i mean by dense is very closed in with lots of moss and plants for many places to hide. I feel like sometimes it looks a little crowded but also cool at the same time. Another thing to add is my white's doesn't seem to eat very much, in fact the piece of moss he usually hides under has like five crickets sleeping with him. They've been in there for like 2 days and still not eaten.
