I want to know if I can feed my froglets the aquatic frog and tadpole food that you get at pet stores.
Which species are you referring to?
I'm not completely sure.i think I may have 3 or 4 different species of frog.ibe never raised tads before.i have around 60 froglets and maybe 20 tads that will soon be froglets.ive had 3 die but I'm told that's common with Brooks of tadpoles.i to get them to a point where they are able to make it out there.theyre in different stages of metamorphosis.a very large group are losing their tails.i just want to know when I can start feeding them.i found them in my back yard in a kiddie pool.the adult frogs looked like common frogs.theyre all climbing the glass so I think they may be tree frogs.im sorry I've rambled on but I just want to take care of the little guys.if possible I would send pics of them...
Once the tadpoles reach the froglet stage they’ll need live food. Depending on the species they’ll be ready to feed a few days after they absorb their tails. You can try flightless fruit flies or pinhead crickets. If they are native species you found on your property you may want to release them in a nearby place that can support them.
