Default Red Eyed Tree Frog Lighting

Hey all I had a question about what sort of lighting I should get and be using for Red Eyed Tree Frogs as well as living plants. I have a 18x18x24 terrarium so let me know if you have any specific suggestions. Thanks again!

I use a fluval fresh and plant led lights on timers. If you want good plant growth an led light rated near 6500k will do the job.

Ok sweet thanks I found a 6500k led light that should work just fine. Are the LED's enough for the frogs to keep them warm though?

It depends on your ambient temperature. You may want to use some supplemental heat to get it up near 80 degrees during the day if the room is cold. The leds don’t give off much in the way of heat. Is this for an exo terra?

Ok I would add a small basking bulb over one corner in addition to the led lights but be careful as too much heat can melt the styrophoam background. Monitor it with a good temperature probe. Also plan your build to allow for a lighting and temperature gradient. The leds don’t penetrate much below 18 inches so use low light plants at the bottom such as pothos and high light plants like neoregalia bromeliads at the top.
