Hi everyone, this is my first post besides my introductions thread. I'm new to frog keeping. I have a WTF in a 20 gallon tank. Suddenly though, he has started hiding under his little rock hideaway much more often. His previous owner said that he very rarely did this, and now he seems to be spending much of his time there. I thought maybe his UV light was getting too hot at night so I put it in a corner rather than the middle so he can hide from the heat if he needs. I will update on his behavior soon.
What does the thermometer say? If you don't have one, it's very helpful. I'd continue to keep an eye on him, see if his appetite is affected or if he spends extra time soaking. Those can be warning signs.
UPDATE: so since the move of the lamp, he seems to be going back to normal. He spends a normal period of time soaking, and he eats fine. (even when he was hiding)
good!
Silly question but, you are turning the light off a night right?
