I just got my first frog, He's the cutest White's tree frog ever. I got him yesterday and I had to take his hidey holes out because he was getting too wet and turning brown. he's going green again but I'm worried to put the hidy holes in until the cage is a bit dryer. He's started what looks like a leopard gecko glass surfing, but I've never heard of a frog glass surfing.
I'd like some advice please! is glass surfing normal and when should I put the hidey holes back and how brown is too brown?
I gave him a hiding place and he got in the water than has borrowed
It's hard to say why frogs turn brown. Sometimes it's heat or cold, sometimes not. In any case I wouldn't consider brown to be a necessarily bad thing. I suspect it might be like a human turning red because red and green makes brown.
I'd leave his hidey holes in place, though. Climbing isn't bad but frantic climbing might mean he feels stressed and wants out.
