Hi guys, I set up this 12x12x18 bio-active tank, with the intention of thumbnail dartfrogs, but am curious what other interesting anurans could live a happy life in here? The substrate is an abg-type mix with springtails. Humidity is around 80% and temps 73-75f. I do not wish to add a heat source, however, I could add a water container. Here is my main catch - NO CRICKETS OR ROACHES - i'm cool with the tiny feeder bugs but don't want anything that needs these as a staple. So, suggestions??? Would like to be able to keep more than one individual in the tank as well!
You could put some house geckos, or mourning geckos in there. Or maybe a pacman frog, some green tree frogs, tomato frogs, or mantellas. You could also add some salamander, or newt species, as well as fire belly toads if you add a large water dish. Hermit crabs might also do well in there, assuming they don't destroy the plants xD
