Default 20 gallon long with FBT’s

I originally planned on keeping a leopard frog for the kids but it was difficult to obtain one locally so we went with fire bellied toads instead. I have a small fluval filter but I’m wondering if I should get something with charcoal or some type of media bag. The light or lack of cover may be too much for them. After the first day they have avoided the land side of aquarium. Is that normal or should they spend more time out of the water?

We’ve been using crickets and I’ve read that mealworms can be bad for their digestion so I was considering using earthworms. Does anyone have opinions on this? I thought it might be easier to target feed them.

They are a big hit with the kiddos!
