I was planning on buying a Male Juvenile (3-4 inches or so) Pixie frog.
I'm planning on using this https://i.imgur.com/CiuD6UZ.jpg with a Zoomed Mini Reptitherm under heater.
It measures 18 inches long x 12 inches wide x 6.5 inches high
Would this tank be big enough for it? Also, should the heat pad be mounted on the side? (I read conflicting things that the underside would be fine with a thermostat and more effective at heating the tank). If this tank is too small, is their any rubbermaid bins etc that you guys would reccomend?
Lastly, would a Zoo Med Pacman Frog Food be fine to give to a pixie frog? I figured I'd buy some just to introduce variety.
I was just worried since it looked kinda hard to keep the humidity up, I guess a towel covering half the tank would suffice?
I think I will have space to eventually upgrade to a 20 or 30 gallon (and possibly another frog), but I'd have to wait a year or 2.
so imma try my hand i have a read a lot and when in dout someone will correct me. Pixie males at least get super big i know temp you could keep in there if Humidity is at the levels it should be but as far as i have read i am pretty sure you will need bigger tank for a full adult and they grow fairly quickly. the zoo med food i don't know about i know there is a care guide on this site that would tell you all about feeding and cage sizes http://www.frogforum.net/showthread....e-and-Breeding see if that link work.
