    Default Yet another mold question

For a while now, I've been having mold grow in my empty terrarium. Mostly just the usual white and occasional blue-ish green mold that everyone says is normal, but lately a part of one of the wood pieces that is in constant contact with the water decided to start growing this brown stuff, and although it may be hard to see in the picture some small dots of bright red that almost look like blood droplets. The springtails in the tank don't seem to want anything to do with it, and even when I dump a bunch of them onto it, they fairly quickly leave and move back to their usual haunts. So the question is, of course, is this dangerous, and if so, is the wood salvageable, or do I need to dump it? And if it's something especially bad, do I need to sterilize the entire setup?
