I got my baby Pyxie about 8 or 9 days ago. He's about 2-3 inches long. He ate 2 crickets the morning after we got him and ate 4 or 5 crickets 3 days later, and that was a chore. I kept rubbing a cricket under his chin until he finally went for it, and then the ate the others as I dropped them in front of him. Today is day 4 or 5 of him not eating. I've tried crickets and small nightcrawlers. He tried long and hard to eat the nightcrawlers but was unable to grab them. I tried using tongs, putting them in his water dish with him, and in a separate container. He has also tried going to for the crickets a couple of days ago, but missed. Since then, he has turned away anytime I put food in front of him. His tank was running 75-80 degrees. We were away this weekend and the outside temp has gone up from the 20's to the 40's in 2 days. His tank temp read a little over 85 today, so I am adjusting his lamps so that it doesn't get too warm while I'm not home during the day, and humidity has been in a good range. Should I be worried that he's not eating? I'd expect a baby to be eating nearly every day, definitely more than once a week!
