Question Pacman frog on sphagnum moss?

So I keep hearing about how sphagnum moss is bad to keep pacman frogs on due to impaction, but I was wondering if it would be okay to keep them on if I don't feed my frog in his enclosure?

I have my frog on coconut husk now, and I'm having a hard time keeping the substrate damp and keeping it off of my frog. I take my frog out into a separate container lined with a damp paper towel to feed him so he doesn't ingest any substrate. Would it still be unsafe to keep him on moss?
