    Question Golden tree frog help.

Hi, I'm a new golden tree frog owner and I have a few questions. My tree frog spends a lot of time on the glass near the top of the terrarium and barely comes down to eat the crickets. Is it because they're black crickets? They didn't have normal crickets and the black crickets seem pretty big. I'm getting normal crickets today. Also the temperature of the terrarium is 24° celcius and humidity is 85%,
is this ok? I'm getting a 100 watt bulb to increase the temperature a bit.

Also, my frog is on his own. The shop only had one so shall I get him a friend? I don't want him to be lonely.

Hi, I can't advise you on temp specifics for this frog, but if it spends a lot of time at the top of the tank, maybe it's warmer near the top? Closer to the heat lamp if you have one?

Different colors of crickets should be fine. New frogs often are a bit hesitant to move around and it's a good sign yours isn't hiding completely. Frogs aren't very social, but if you decide to get yours a buddy, it should be the same size roughly and the same species. Some different kinds of frogs have different levels of toxicity and sometimes, over time a more toxic frog can poison a lesser one.

No he doesn't hide completely. He's currently chilling on a leaf. I've noticed he's eating more now and he's definitely more active of a night. I've decided not to get another one as he seems happy on his own.
