So I'm planning on (hopefully) getting a Pacman Frog around the end of January when I head to a reptile show the next state over and had a few questions.
If I get a baby or juvenile would a 12x12x12 be sufficient or should I go smaller or larger? I'm not getting anything plastic as far as enclosure goes, I'm planning on using a dome light for heat and don't want the enclosure to melt or warp. Should I just immediately go for a regular 10g? Mostly I'm concerned the frog won't be comfortable enough to eat.
In regards to eating, I'm not going to be offering pinkies at any time; is this even the right pet for me? I'm planning on worms as a staple but not interested in keeping a colony. What worms (I'm thinking earthworms) are good/safe and how should they be kept?
Substrate; what should I use? What's the difference between plantation soil and coconut fiber; I'm not using moss because it appears that can cause impaction. I'm also not doing bioactive.
Also, any other suggestions would be great. I'm planning on ordering everything as far as set up goes and getting it ready to go beforehand.
Thanks!
