Hi all,

We had a green tree frog (Australian species) living in an upturned kennel in our garden. The kids loved looking at it and had named it trumpet due to its loud calls (it's a large frog must be 10-12 cm long). We came a couple of days ago to see it sitting in the driveway. It turns out it had a pretty badly injured front leg. It looks mangled, even snapped in half with a large open wound. Possibly it has been grabbed by a bird or a local cat. I placed it back in the kennel and we've been keeping an eye on it ever since. It hadn't moved much in the first couple of days so we went and got some crickets from the pet store and tried to feed it, put them in with it. He didn't move for them so I squished one a little so it couldnt get away, when I looked today ants had come and gotten the cricket. Trumpet has been quite dry, even though there's rain water in the kennel, he's barely moving and I'm very worried. What else can I do for him? I'm getting hold of a fish tank so I can bring him in out of the garden and keep him safe but I want to make sure I do everything I can to keep him alive.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Joh.
