Default Red eyed tree frog heat

I'm using a exo terra night bulb for a heat source, it's a 50 watt bulb and I was wondering if that's too much for them

People keep saying low wattage but does 50 count, I'm not sure which ones are in the low category

I've used 60w night heat bulbs for some of my frogs before. 50w should be safe as long as you are careful. Just make sure you get a day where you'll be at home to monitor temperature and humidity, to see how fast humidity drops and how stable the temp is.
You may want a thermostat and maybe a mister/fogger to keep the humidity up.
    Good luck!

Thank you will do! I love these frogs! Only thing that sucks is that mine is always dark green at night, it's impossible to see those bright colors and eyes since they sleep during day

No problem. It may be a bit too much. Some factors in heat buildup include ventilation and tank size. Low ventilation tanks will build up heat faster than high ventilation ones, and larger tanks have more area to heat. If it is too hot you can get a thermostat and possibly the other stuff(fogger mister etc) like I mentioned before, but if it is only a little too strong you can also mount it a bit above the tank, and it might do fine. Thermostats, mister, fogger and such gear can be invaluable of there is an unexpected heat weave, for example, hits and you can't make it home fast. I just figured I'd add a little more. I mostly just wanted to add the tank size and ventilation stuff.
They are really pretty frogs. They may not let you see them move all the time, but it's a treat when they do!
