Hello all!
i received three whites tree frogs in the mail today, and they're in quarantine right now. I was handling one frog to inspect her really quickly after taking her out of her shipping container, and noticed her front right "thumb" is red and swollen. I will attach a photo of her toe in this post. What should I do to help heal her? Any ideas of what might've happened, maybe she pinched it somehow? Her toe is not broken, but is just stuck onto my finger in an odd fashion.
Thank you in advance!!
Are you sure it's not broken? If there's an infection you can dab it with antibiotic ointment.
I will take more pictures today when I'm home. It doesn't look like an infection since there's no open wound or anything.
Here are more pictures of the toe. It almost looks as though it's going to fall off since the skin connecting the toes is very thin looking.
She looks very thin towards her back legs, but I was happy to see her eat one cricket. She seems to be moving very slowly as well but the tank is warm.
It does look crushed and maybe broken to me. Not sure what to suggest other than to let it heal.
Okay, thank you for your input!
