    Default Frog Eye Problems?

My little frog's pupils are always narrower than my large frog's no matter the amount of light. The little one also often misses insects or doesn't strike at all.
I'm wondering if this might have something to do with eyes, or is it just an insignificant difference? (Edit: Or maybe the big frog's eyes are more dilated because he's excited whenever he thinks I'm going to feed him. He's more focused on food than the other.)
The picture is a bad example because the light was bright in this one so they both have narrow eyes, but here they are:

I don't know why it's like that, or if it is causing the misses, but I agree the difference is noticeable.

Normally it's even more pronounced, with the big frog's eyes open wide in dim light and the little one's narrow.

I donít know if you ever figured this one out and I know this was months ago but the pic here is my little male frog with his eye thing. I take him out of the tank to feed him so the food canít hide and he eats really well. He does miss occasionally but then gets it on the second try.

Howís yours doing? Did it ever become a bigger issue?

It's not a big issue, he seems to do just fine though he misses sometimes.

Your frog's eye looks a bit strange. Is the eyeball itself misshapen or is it just the pupil giving that effect.

Sadly I don't know of a treatment for bad eyes in frogs, though it's good to make sure they get a supplement with vitamin A in it sometimes.

The eyes are perfectly round but the pupil is deformed and never changes. The other pupil will adjust to light or dark but this one doesnít. I donít think s/he can see out of it.

It may be blindness from an injury or something else then. Sadly there's not much that can be done as far as I know. As long as the frog can see to eat, it'll probably do fine though.

I see the same in my frogs. The boys, especially one of them, have far more dilated pupils then my female. I don't think it's a problem though, the female normally seems aware of the surroundings and is always first to know when I'm feeding my frogs.
